DIY Chicken Coop Condo

Well hello, and thank you for taking the time to read my blog post on how we built this beautiful chicken condo.

If you are an avid DIY’er then you know that projects always take longer than you estimate. With that being said there is defiantly something special about taking a space like our side yard and creating something beautiful with your own two hands. I have been dreaming of this chicken coop since the day we bought our house. I am very grateful to have a husband who was willing to build this for our three little ladies…Pearl, Opal, & Ruby.

Here is our side yard that faces east.

I thought long and hard about this written form tutorial and this was such a long project I thought this DIY would be better in video form. There are so many details we learned along the way that I thought it would be best to link you to the videos I made on how we created this chicken coop.  We had no plans, I just took some inspiration from pinterest and winged it. Thats kinda how my husband and I roll, lol. This project took us 5 weekends. My husband is gone during the week for work.  I do have to say we did not work on it consistently either. Probably an average of 4 hours a day. In order to watch these videos you do need an Instagram but you can still watch it on a home computer. There are 3 links to different videos because Instagram only allows 100 15 second highlight reel.

Video 2: Chicken Condo Part 2
Video 3: Chicken Condo Part 3

If the videos aren’t working try clicking here to my instagram page and scroll to the right on my highlight reel. I have three bubbles that I have all the videos saved. The first one just says “DIY Chicken Condo”

Below I still have the pictures on the process. If you do decide to recreate this chicken coop, please watch all the videos up front first and if you have any questions I would be happy to answer them.
