Throwing a memorable Galentines Brunch for your Besties

I’m so excited to share 2021’s theme. It’s all about RED this year. I love DIY’s, home decor but most of all, hosting parties. This is the 2nd annual Galentines brunch I’ve hosted. You can check out my first one here. These parties are so much fun and I hope to carry on this new traditions, making it all about my girlfriends!

I focus on three main things when hosting, decorations, food and party favors.

The decorations are my favorite part. That’s where I put most of my energy when planning. Last year, I went with a more pink theme, so naturally I choose red, haha. I’m already planning next year and I’m thinking more rustic.

I was able to find most of the decorations this year at Hobby Lobby. I try to incorporate things I already have with a few things from the store.

I have been collecting decorations for years. I buy a few pieces every year to add to my collection. Valentines is probably my smallest holiday collection but so fun to decorate for.

Iv’e learned over the years to buy white serving dishes and platters so that when hosting a fun theme such at this they will go with anything. I used to collect bright pieces such as red and turquoise but those pieces would not have looked as good here as the white. When planning a theme I would pick two main colors to stick with that way your space isn’t too busy.

If you don’t know about Trader Joe’s flowers your missing out! I bought a dozen roses for $6! That is an amazing prices. I only used 4 of them here but used the rest in a vase in my kitchen. Such a good deal. Adding flowers to a tablescape is so affordable and makes such a big impact.

I love setting up a mimosa bar. I liked to get those small Champagne bottles because anything mini is so cute and personable. Of course a bigger bottle for back up. I chilled the champagne and brought it out right before the party started with the berries.

In 2019 Target had the cutest collection of stuff for Galentines, including this mimosa sign. I was sad they didn’t have anything this year. I believe this sign was $1 and I plan on using it every year. it’s too cute.

These juice glass jars are perfect way to fancy up any cocktail bar area you might set up. When I went to buy these they were so expensive when looking online but I happen to check my local Walmart and they were only a few dollars, score!

I have chairs to go around the whole table but I thought for pictures and to make that wow factor when the girls came in to use this bench we built last year. I have a blog post on how we built it for $30 here.

I do love to cook but I didn’t want to put too much energy into it so I just made a pasta dish from a recipe that I found on Tiktok that was delish, and the best part was I was able to use the tomatoes from my garden. The rest of the food I bought pre made. Lots of sweets, like candy and cookies, the good stuff. All valentines related. I bought donut holes and sprinkled the valentines heart candy over them, super cute.

When planning out the tablescape I go through my collection of stuff after I choose a theme color, red & black and white this year, and find piece that will coordinate and complement the colors. I store everything in my china cabinet so its easy to see what I have. Most of my pieces are budget friendly. Like these water glasses, they are from a the Dollar Tree a few years ago.

I found this heart garland at Hobby lobby. I thought it looked cool against the grey back ground and thought it was something fun and different. When your throwing a party the decorations don’t need to be expensive, you only need them for a few hours. I even used paper plates to make is more festive.

I totally forgot to get a close up of the party favors I put together for the girls. I found the matching bags at hobby lobby. They match the paper plates. Then I went to Home Goods and found a pack of 4 stemless wine glasses with sparkly hearts on them for only $10. For all 4. I also found Valentine chocolate hearts in a pack of 12 for $6 and gave each girl three chocolates. When I went to the liquor store to get the champagne I found a pack of 4 cans of dry sparkling wine that came in a pink can with flowers on it. Soooo cute. I put everything in the bag and wa-la! They loved it.

I found this cute tray at Target’s dollar spot. Added some cute signs I’ve had for years and wa-la!

Here is my girl gang! We had so much fun just hanging our for a couple hours enjoying mimosa’s and yummy food.

Let me know in the comments below if you ever plan to throw a Galentine Party for our friends. Let me know if you have any questions 🙂

  1. This is the CUTEST Galentines set up I have ever seen! I love the idea of a mimosa bar and the small individual bottles. I also never have thought about getting flowers from Trader Joe’s, but definitely will now
